I was wondering my local Fred Mayer store last night to pick up my Halo 3 Hunter figure. I wondered to the tool section to snag some zip ties and I found a great tool for those of you on a budget looking into a new rotary tool. I currently own a Dremel Stylus for customizing, but would just as much enjoy this gem. Its a made by CHicago and is an obvious copy of the Dremel Stylus. They are currently on sale at Fred Mayer for $39.99 as opposed to the 75$ price tag on the Dremel Stylus.

This tool has one feature I wished my Dremel had too… A LIGHT! for those hard to see nooks and crannies.

So if your looking to get one, this should save you a pretty penny. I have not used this tool, just looked like a cool alternative.

My usual lights are about 29.99 each! Thats ridiculous, but I paid for them anyway, cause the light was so white and and full spectrum.

Tonight I went over to my girlfriends Mom’s house for dinner, and when we walked in I felt like I was in a laundry room or bathroom. The new lights she installed in all her lamps were ridiculously white and uncomfortable. BUT I thought they would be GREAT for shooting, so I asked her where she got them and she said Jerry’s.

We went to Jerry’s later on for Christmas lights and she showed me the lights, THEY WERE ONLY 2.99 for a set of 4 of them, I was blown away. Long story short, “Better Head For Jerry’s” and snag some of these. Below is a picture of them in the box, then some pictures of them in action. I threw Savage D in there real quick for an example.

I was at Wal-Mart tonight (as I am on many nights) and I stumbled across something pretty sweet as I was buying some screws for some joint repairs. In the middle of the main isle next to the shorter hardware isles, I saw a large green display box and the “Bargains” caught my eyes as usual. One side of the box had these GREAT little tripod lights, very similar (if not better) than the lights that came with my Diffusion Tent. For ten bucks you cant really pass em up. The light is very natural and has no orange to them since they are LED. So check out these lights next time your at Wally’s. They just might be able to help out your custom photos.
