Tips On Traveling To Lexington On A Budget

If you want to travel to Lexington anytime soon, and you are on a tight budget, it’s important to prepare to go at certain times of the year. Off-season travel tends to be the cheapest, and you can still do many of the things that people do during peak season. The best times to go are during the spring and summer. Even if you go just before spring, or in the fall, you can still do many things and save money at the same time. There are a couple of events that you should attend, and places to visit if you want to enjoy your time in Lexington.

Places You Will Be Able To Visit

A place that most people visit, even if they do not like courses, is the Kentucky Horse Park. It’s a place where you can learn about the history of horses in Kentucky, things that may have led up to the Kentucky Derby that is over in Louisville. You can also visit churches, pubs, and go to different shows that are showing in the city. You can dine out at some fine restaurants, and if you want to, you can also visit the Lexington cemetery to pay your respects.

What Other Places Can You Go With Kids

If you go with children, and they like courses, The Red Mile is a great place to be. You can take the kids to the Breakout Games, and also to Keeneland for fun filled day at the races. While you are there, get breakfast at The Kitchen, and enjoy your time interacting with all of the people and events that you will see. Your kids will have fun, plus you will too, at these places that are designed for people of all ages.

Additional ideas involve going to the Mary Todd Lincoln house which is very interesting and educational. You will learn about her, and her role back during the time of the Civil War. If you are a fan of basketball, go to the Rupp Arena. McConnell Springs is another place to go if you just want to go on a nice morning walk. Kentucky has beautiful landscapes that you can visit, but it’s also a fun-filled location for adults and children when you get to go during the off-season for less when you travel this year to Lexington.
